Conan used to be better at handling adversity.

Long before the recent-ish Tonight Show drama, Conan O’Brien faced his previous worst fear: a writers’ strike. The strike, which lasted 12/5/2007 through 2/12/2008, was a tragedy for the high quantity television programming we’ve come to rely upon in freezing winter months. Additionally, it forced Conan to basically improvise all of his content on The Late Show, and out of desperation, he started just doing lots of staff interviews where he made jokes about them. That innocent idea turned into one of the most amazing 9 minutes and 41 seconds of television we have seen. JOY! Watch below, or at Funny or Die here.
