Born and raised in Lebanon, photographer Rania Matar moved to the U.S. in 1984. Originally trained as an architect, she now works full-time as a photographer. Rania also teaches photography in the summers to teenage girls in Lebanon’s refugee camps with the assistance of non-governmental organizations. So yeahhh, she is exceedingly cool. Her new project “A Girl and her Room” profiles teenage girls from different backgrounds in their bedrooms.
The full portfolios can be viewed on her website.
